Aligner Art Lab

This experimental project, E Studio's first covering strategy, branding and interior design together, was for a client who wanted to sell Invisalign-style aligners in a portable retail format, free of the cumbersome rule that nothing can be issued without a clinic's approval.

Because the business is so focused, we proposed the brand concept ALIGNER ART LAB, starting from what the client already does and digging into the other possibilities around it.

DAZZO sounds like "dazzle": brilliant, eye-catching. We took the letter O as the creative starting point and cut it in set proportions to create an arc that belongs to the brand alone.

For the overall tone, we chose laser silver as the brand's signature finish. Set against large, clean surfaces, it becomes the single strong memory point of the brand.

Interior

The interior design explored several directions around the brand concept, and finally settled on light steel framing and galvanised steel sheet as the main materials that set the mood of the whole space.

The clinic's scanning room is inside a WeWork, the international co-working company, where fit-outs are tightly restricted: the area is small, the floor cannot be changed, nothing can hang from the ceiling and walls cannot be knocked down. Every component of the project is therefore assembled on site, and panels of steel framing and sheet metal divide the interior into its zones.

Decorative Wall

For the waiting area by the door, we made a changeable art installation from light tubes, meant to become a photo spot that promotes the brand, which was the client's first priority.

At the other end is the tooth-scanning room. Space allowed for only one, so it holds nothing but minimal, functional fittings, meant to feel professional yet friendly rather than cold.
